Alex has been playing guitar for ten years and teaching for three. Having taken lessons with some of the top teachers in Maine, he is continuing his education at the University of Maine at Augusta with a double major in Jazz Performance and Music Education. His teaching philosophy is "anything is possible with a little hard work" He teaches in all styles of music with the exception of classical guitar and tailors his lessons to the taste of the student. All students learn essential theory and basic musical concepts while learning songs that they choose.

His systematic approach to the guitar breaks down complex ideas into simple systems and allows for quick progress and easy understanding, guaranteeing that with a little elbow grease you'll go far.
